• With more connections being provided to beneficiaries under the Ujjwala scheme, Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) coverage in the Tamil Nadu State is now 97.9%.

• Jamie Chadwick from Bath, England made history by becoming the fist female driver to win the MRF challenge title after scoring a triple win in the final round in Chennai. He won 3 out of the 5 races to close an 18-point margin in Max Defourny of Germany

• Australia spin legend Shane Warne was entitled as the brand ambassador of Rajasthan Royals in the upcoming Indian Premier League. Shane Warne was the captain Rajasthan Royals for four seasons until 2011 and after that, he retired from all form of cricket.

• The two days 2nd Joint Secretary Level meeting to assess the India-Nepal Trade Treaty was organized in Pokhara, Nepal on 7th Feb 2019 to deliberate upon various bilateral issues and non-tariff barriers in bilateral trade.

• Jamie Chadwick, female driver from England won the MRF challenge title. She made history by becoming the first female driver to win the title after scoring a triple win in the final round in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

• The seventh annual World Government Summit is being held in Dubai, UAE. The World Government Summit is a forum dedicated to shaping the future of governments.

• Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal inaugurated Cremica Mega Food Park Pvt Ltd in Village Singha in ,Una District of Himachal Pradesh. This is the first Mega Food Park operationalized in the State of Himachal Pradesh.

• The government has notified eight medical equipments as Drugs under Section 3 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 with effect from April 1, 2020. The decision was made after consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board.

• The United Nations (UN) General Assembly declared 11th February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, in order to achieve full and equal participation and access to women and girls in science and to further achieve gender equality and empowerment of women and girls.

• India and Norway signed a letter of Intent for establishing the India-Norway Marine Pollution Initiative. The letter of intent was signed by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India together with the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• Ruchira Kamboj was appointed as the Ambassador of India to Bhutan. She is currently serving as the High Commissioner of India to South Africa since 2017. She is a 1987-cadre Indian Foreign Service (officer).
