• The Mumbai bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) ordered the liquidation of the bankrupt Reid and Taylor following the bidder’s failure to meet eligibility criteria.

• The Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) signed a deal with Club Atletico Montemar (CAM), Spain, for a five-year period, to ensure a high standard of training for its trainees.

• The foundation stone for the Patna Metro Rail project is to be laid down in March by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

• Saudi Arabia announced the launch of its first satellite for communications from the French Guiana Space Centre. Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources.

• The Cabinet has approved the setting up of a unified authority that would regulate all the financial services in International Financial Services Centres (IFSC).

• Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) App has been launched on Google play store. Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) is a centrally sponsored scheme.

• The Reserve Bank of India imposed a penalty of Rs.1 crore on Syndicate Bank due to non-compliance with the directions regarding frauds and risk management systems. RBI also imposed fine of Rs.20 lakh on Axis Bank for violating norms.

• Air India chief Pradeep Singh Kharola appointed as Civil Aviation secretary. He will succeed Rajiv Nayan Choubey who retired on January 31, 2019, after the resignation he took over as a member in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

• Ministry of External Affairs appointed Sanjiv Ranjan as the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Colombia. Presently he is the Ambassador of India to Argentina.

• The government has requested the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for providing an interim surplus for the financial year 2018-19 on the analogy of previous financial year and transfer of the amount withheld from the surplus of 2016-17 and 2017-18.

• State Bank of India’s UK chief Shri Sanjiv Chadha honoured with the ‘Freedom of the City Of London’ by city of London Corporation. Sanjiv Chadha was nominated for the honour by Lord Mayor of London Peter Estlin and Sheriff Vincent Keaveny.

• Air India’s First ever Flight Simulator knew as ‘Boeing 747-200’ was exhibited in Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai. The Simulator was acquired by Air India in 1980, which is designed and manufactured by the CAE(Canadian Aviation Electronics), Canada.

• Shri Babanrao Lonikar Maharashtra’s Minister for Water Supply and Sanitation and Shri Parameswaran Iyer Secretary, Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation were also present. The World Bank supported the Darwaza Band Part 2.

• Union Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani launched the India Size project in Mumbai. A first-of-its-kind project in the history of the country.

• The Ministry of AYUSH organized Second Conference of State AYUSH and Health Ministers conference in New Delhi.
