• International Nurse Day is celebrated worldwide on 12th May each and every year. This day is located to commemorate the delivery anniversary of Florence Nightingale. She used to be also regarded as Lady with the Lamp. She used to be the founder of current nursing and was once a British social reformer and statistician.

• The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved strategic disinvestment and management control transfer in IDBI Bank Ltd. The degree to which the Government of India and the Life Insurance Corporation of India will divest their respective shareholdings will be determined in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India.

• A report titled ‘Connected Commerce: Creating a Roadmap for a Digitally Inclusive Bharat’ was published by NITI Aayog and Mastercard. The reports identifies barriers to accelerating India’s digital financial inclusion and makes recommendations for making digital services more available to the country’s 1.3 billion people.

• Regular earthquakes in northern Assam’s Sonitpur region are caused by four causes, one of which is an unfamiliar lineament. Lineament is the linear feature in the landscape, determined by basic geological structures such as faults.

• South Sudanese President Salva Kiir has dissolved Parliament, and representatives on both sides of the country’s civil war will now be elected under a 2018 peace agreement. In September 2018, Mr. Kiir and Vice-President Riek Machar signed an accord that included the formation of a new legislative body.

• In India, National Technology Day is celebrated on 11 May across India. This day marks the efficaciously examined Shakti-I nuclear missile at the Pokhran Test Range of the Indian Army in Rajasthan. Technology day will be focusing on rebooting the financial system via Science and Technology.

• In 2021, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) proclaimed 10 May the International Day of Argania. The resolution, submitted by Morocco, was once co-sponsored through 113 member states of the United Nations and adopted by using consensus.
