• The Cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and the Russian Federation on cooperation in the production of coking coal, which is used in the production of steel. The goal of the memorandum of understanding is to strengthen cooperation in the steel industry between the governments of India and Russia.

• The Cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Health and Medicine Cooperation between India and the Kingdom of Denmark. Highlights: Through joint initiatives and technology development in the health sector, the bilateral MoU will encourage cooperation between India’s Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Denmark’s Ministry.

• Mr BS Yediyurappa (Karnataka CM) has unveiled the Karnataka Electric Bike Taxi scheme-2021. This taxi scheme will serve as a bridge between daily commuters and public transport. The scheme focuses on the reduction of travelling time and the inconvenience in reaching the bus, railway and also metro stations.

• IPRCL (Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation Limited) has prepared a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the pod taxi service between Film City and Noida Airport at Jewar. There are ideas to run a driverless taxi between these two destinations. The cost will be about Rs 862 crore.

• Bonalu is a traditional folk festival celebrated each and every year in the Telugu month of Ashadham (falling in June/July). Bonalu is celebrated every year in the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad and Secunderabad, and some other parts of Telangana state.

• China has officially begun constructing the world’s first commercial modular small reactor, ‘Linglong One’, at the Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant in Hainan Province. This project is based on China National Nuclear Corporation’s (CNNC’s Linglong One (ACP100) technology.

• PM Modi has addressed the nation on 15 July 2021, on World Youth Skills Day and it’s the sixth anniversary of the Skill India Mission. About Skill India Mission: Skill development of the new generation youth is a national need and a vast foundation for a self-reliant India.

• World International Justice Day is also known as International Criminal Justice Day or International Justice Day is observed globally on July 17 to support and recognize the work of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The Justice day denotes the anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statute on 17 July 1998, the treaty that created the ICC.
