• Manipur’s Festival of Dance and Music called ‘Nata Sankirtana Happened on 30 September at Mandap of Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal. Nata Sankirtana happens for 3 days each year which features the Academy’s activities.

• The 4th Biennial Maritime Series happened on September 30, which was participated in both India and Australia. The fourth iteration of the biennial maritime series called ‘AUSINDEX’. This exercise allows the Royal Australian Navy and Indian Navy in strengthening and sharing the best practices.

• Union Minister Anurag Thakur launched a Month-Long Clean India Programme in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh on 1 October. Mr Thakur launched the Clean India Programme from Prayagraj this afternoon as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The cleanliness drive aims to make awareness, mobilize people and ensure their involvement.

• The Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah, has approved the discharge of the 2nd part of the Central part of the SDRF. The government of India had issued an order on 25.09.2021, revising the things and norms of assistance under the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), making therein a provision for grant of ex-gratia payment.

• The SBM-U 2.0 with AMTUT 2.0 was launched by PM on 1 October at Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. These schemes are designed to understand the aspiration of creating all cities Garbage Free and Water Secure.

• The Industrial Security Agreement (ISA) summit happened between India and United States where an agreement to establish Indo-US Industrial Security Joint Working Group was laid. • Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has Visited the President, Shri Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapathi Bhavan On 1st October and extended his Birthday greetings. October 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met President Ramnath Kovind at Rashtrapathi Bhavan and expressed his greeting for President’s 76th Birthday.

• Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Housing and concrete Affairs, has launched the 7th edition of Swachh Survekshan 2022. The 7th edition of the annual cleanliness survey within the urban areas has been introduced under district rankings.

• Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment organises Vayo Naman Programme on the International Day of Older Persons, in honour of senior citizens, in New Delhi on 1 October. Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu is the chief guest of the programme and will present the Vayosheshtra Samman awards.

• The Swachhta Pakhwada 2021 observance ends at Pradip port trust with a playa and Prize distribution by Shri AK Bose, Dy. Chairman, PPT. Observance of Swachhta Pakhwada ended at Paradip Port today with Shri AK Bose, Dy. Chairman, PPT making prize distribution to the winners of debate Competition held among the local school children.

• International Day of Older Persons is observed on 30 September to bring awareness of the importance of digital inclusion of older persons. The UN General Assembly, On 14 December 1990, assigned 1 October as the International Day of Older People.

• The SMOG tower at Connaught Place was visited by the environment minister Gopal Rai on 2 October and also the report showed 80% of the air purified. A 16-member committee has been appointed to watch the smog tower and provides three reports to the govt for 3 months each.
