• The Moon’s Wobble has been identified by NASA as a potential issue in the near future. When the moon orbits an elliptical orbit, its speed changes, causing our view of the “bright side” to appear at a slightly different angle.

• The E-100 Pilot Project has been launched. On World Environment Day, the E-100 Pilot Project was launched in Pune (5 June). The project’s goal is to build a nationwide network for ethanol production and distribution.

• The government has signed a loan agreement with the World Bank to develop the Green National Highway Corridor. Following the adoption of the ‘Green Highways Policy’ in September 2015, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) established the National Green Highways Mission (NGHM).

• The government has established the Dairy Investment Accelerator. The Dairy Investment Accelerator was established by the DAHD (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) of the Government of India under its investment facilitation cell.

• As of June 25, 2021, India will be the world’s fifth largest holder of forex reserves. As of June 25, 2021, India’s foreign exchange reserves were 608.99 billion U.S. dollars, and it has become the world’s fifth largest foreign exchange reserve holder after China, Japan, Switzerland and Russia.

• As a means of cleaning up bank books, Bad Bank was established for stressed assets. The establishment of a bad bank was announced in the Union Budget. It is known as the National Asset Reconstruction Company Limited (NARCL). The new entity was formed in collaboration with banks from both the public and private sectors.

• Nearly 104 start-up companies from different industries have joined the Startup India Showcase Platform. It is an online discovery platform for the country’s most promising startups.

• The government launches the National Logistics Excellence Award. The awards were created in order to draw attention to the logistics industry. The awards are divided into two categories: logistics infrastructure/service providers in the first, and various user industries in the second.

• The Government of India has extended the duration of the ‘Stand Up India Scheme’ up to the year 2025. The scheme was launched on 05 April 2016 to facilitate loans to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and women borrowers, to promote entrepreneurship among them.

• Russia has test-fired its new S-500 air defence missile systems successfully from a southern training range, Kapustin Yar, on 20 July 2021. As planned, this missile hit a high-speed ballistic target. The S-500 missile system is at the development phase by the Almaz-Antey Air Defence Concern.
