• Shyamala Ganesh, a Bengaluru-based Japanese teacher, was recently awarded the “Order of the Rising Sun” by the Japanese government. Shyamala is a Japanese instructor at the septuagenarian institution as well as the Ohara School of Ikebana in Bengaluru’s RT Nagar.

• Sixty Starlink Internet Satellites were recently launched by SpaceX. The Falcon 9 rocket was used to launch the satellites. It was launched from the Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The SpaceX corporation has already completed twelve launches in 2021.

• The North Atlantic Treaty Organization recently launched a joint military exercise in Albania, called ” DEFENDER-Europe 21″. Thousands of military personnel from the United States participated in the exercise. The DEFENDER-Europe Exercise is an annual US-led transnational exercise. It is defensive in nature.

• The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently joined the Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS). By joining the system, the Reserve Bank of India will learn from the financial sector and contribute to global climate risk management. Ultimately, Apex Bank will work with its global partners to support the transition to a sustainable economy.

• The first-ever electric tractor was tested at the Central Farm Machinery Training & Testing Institute in Budni (Madhya Pradesh). The institute initially received an application for an electric tractor under a Confidential Test.

• China launched the core modules of the space station and started a series of important launch missions, aiming to complete the construction of the space station by the end of next year. The Long March 5B Y2 rocket carrying the Tianhe module was launched from the Wenchang spacecraft launch site on the coast of the southern island.
