• World Bank has approved about $150 million, to aid Chennai’s Sustainable Urban Services program. It will help to create Chennai into a city that’s more green, liveable, and resilient towards global climate change. Apart from the program in Tamil Nadu, World Bank has also approved a $40 million project.

• A New Species of blind freshwater eel was discovered by scientists from ZSI, Mumbai. The Freshwater Blind Eel species was discovered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This is the primary such discovered species from Maharashtra and Northern western Ghats.

• India and the united states had Industrial Security Agreement (ISA) summit from September 27 to October 1 in New Delhi. The summit was organized so as to develop a protocol to exchange classified information between the defense industries of both countries.

• American Bumblebee population is under review for species by US Fish and Wildlife Services. The American bumblebee population has lowered by 89% within the past few decades so, it might be declared as an “endangered species”.
