• NASA decided to stop sending active commands to its MARS Missions for the next few weeks till “Mars solar conjunction” ends. During Solar Conjunction Mars and earth will be on either side of the Sun.

• Home Minister Amit Shah will flag off the All India Car Rally from the Red Fort in Delhi On 2 October. The All India Car Rally of the National watchman – Sudarshan Bharat Parikrama will start from the historic Red Fort in Delhi on 2 October.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Gram Panchayats and Pani Samitis or Village Water and Sanitation Committees (VWSC) on Jal Jeevan Mission On October 2 via video conferencing. The Prime Minister will launch the Jal Jeevan Mission App for improving awareness among stakeholders.

• The Birth anniversary of the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated on 2 October as Gandhi Jayanti. October 2nd is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanthi in India and it is a National Holiday all over the country. The year 2021 is the 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi who was born on 2 October 1869, in Porbandar.

• World Vegetarian Day is celebrated on October 1 each year to raise awareness on the befits of a vegetarian diet and lifestyle. World Vegetarian Day is celebrated to signify the thought of the environment, animal welfare, and personal health benefits. The week from October 1 to 7 is observed as International Vegetarian Week.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi Addressed the gathering at the Indian Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 via Video message. PM Modi welcomed the gathering at the Indian Pavilion with his Video Message on October 1 in the Dubai Expo 2020.

• The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the first delivery of Kashmiri walnuts was sent off from Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, under the One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative. Truck carrying 2,000 kgs was despatched from Budgam to Bengaluru, Karnataka. 90% of India’s walnut production is from Kashmir.

• The Kamdhenu Deepawali 2021 campaign was launched on October 3, 2021. This campaign was launched for manufacturing and marketing about 100 Crore Deepak lamps and Laxmi-Ganesh Idols made from cow-dung. Under the campaign, Cows are economically utilized by economically utilizing trash.
