• SpaceX has launched its 22nd resupply services mission known as SpaceX CRS 22, using cargo Dragon two capsule, to International Space station (ISS). This is the second mission below the new CRS contract of SpaceX with NASA and the fifth tablet in the final 12 months, which SpaceX despatched to ISS.

• The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) recently upgraded the status of the Blue-finned Mahseer from Endangered to Least Concern on its Red List. The Mahseer belongs to the genus Tor, which has several subspecies found in India and other South Asian range countries.

• Monsoon rains in June-September would be 101 percent of the Long Period Average (LPA) of 88 cm, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). This is still considered ‘normal’ rainfall, which ranges from 96 to 104 percent of the LPA.
