• An Amendment has been proposed in the Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980, by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC). The forest Ministry has sent the following amendments to all states, asking their suggestions and objections in 15 days.

• The Ministry of Tourism organizes the Buddhist Circuit Train FAM Tour and Conference from 4 to 8 October. The FAM tour will include visiting famous Buddhist sites and conferences at Bodh Gaya and Varanasi. This conference will probably be attended by 125 delegates, including tour operators, media, hoteliers etc.

• India and Japan have scheduled the Fifth edition of the India – Japan Maritime Bilateral Exercise in the Arabian sea from 6 October. JIMEX-21 is being conducted to develop a shared understanding of operational procedures and enhance inter-operability by conducting many advanced exercises.

• NASA is all set on Pshye Mission to visit the enormous asteroid known as Psyche, considered frozen remains of the molten core of an ancient world. Psyche is an asteroid orbiting in the central asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, made of metal according to Earth-based radar and optical telescopes.

• National Asset Reconstruction Company receives Licence from Reserve Bank of India. The Rs 6,000 crore National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd. (NARCL) will serve as a pilot program for bad banks. It was started in Mumbai in July 2021 after registration with the Registrar of Companies.

• August 2021 was recorded as the 6th hottest month on the Earth by the NOAA’s report. August 2021 was recorded as the 6th warmest month in 142 years. The scientists found that the ordinary global land and ocean surface temperature was 1.62 degrees F, more than the average of 20th-century.

• An amount of 445.75 crores was allocated by the Odisha government with the objective of preventing Elephant electrocution. With the allocated funds, distribution companies would also restore bare wires across elephant passages and movement areas. This initiative is aimed at preventing elephant deaths because of electrocution.
