• Hansa New Generation (NG) aircraft carried out its maiden flight. The Hansa NG aircraft is developed and designed by the CSIR National Aerospace Laboratory, Bangalore is a constituent laboratory of CSIR.

• The 2021 Pacific Air Force Chiefs Symposium (PACS-21) held at the Pearl Harbor-Hickam Joint Base in Hawaii. The event was themed “Enduring Cooperation towards Regional Stability” and was attended by Air Chiefs from nations in the Indo-Pacific region.

• India and U.S. Sign Air-launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Project Agreement. The Ministry of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense signed the Air Launched Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (ALUAV) Project Agreement (PA) under the Defense Technology and Trade Initiative (DTTI) Joint Working Group Air Systems in July 2021.

• Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority and ICAR-Indian Institute of Millet Research signed an MoU. The main aim of the MoU is to increase the commercial cultivation of processable varieties developed by ICAR-IIMR for export.

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi commemorated the freedom fighter V. O. Chidambaram Pillai on the 150th anniversary of his birth. He was Born on September 5, 1872, Pillai is popularly acknowledged as Kappalottiya Tamizhan’ or The Tamil Helmsman.

• Environmentalists have expressed concern about the massive transfer of fresh water from the Brahmani River basin, which may pose a serious threat to Orissa’s famous mangrove vegetation. From the Brahmani river, the steel and power plants, the Talcher-Angul coal mines, Kalinganagar steel and power hub are drawing massive portions of fresh water.

• India is about to sign a bilateral logistics agreement with Russia, and the agreement with the United Kingdom has entered the final stage. The Reciprocal Exchange of Logistics Agreement is probably to be signed through India in next 2 months.

• Eights of India’s important banks — SBI, Axis, ICICI, IDFC First Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IndusInd Bank and Federal Bank — joined the Account Aggregator (AA) network that will allow clients to without difficulty access and share their monetary data.

• The Jammu IMD’s Doppler Weather Radar (DWR) and a Indigenous GPS based Pilot Sonde were unveiled by the Union Minister of Science and Technology. This is the latest upgrade of the most advanced Doppler weather radar (DWR) and Pilot Sonde based on Indigenous GPS by the Indian Meteorological office in Jammu.
