• The 2021 Nobel Peace Prize is given to Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov. They are awarded for their efforts to guard freedom of expression, which could be a prerequisite for democracy and peace. Maria Ressa uses freedom of expression to reveal abuse of power, use of violence, and growing authoritarianism in the Philippines.

• Tata Group, the creator of Air India, claimed it back, after 60 years after nationalized. Tata Sons bid ₹180 billion for the government’s 100% stake in Air India. The govt. is seeking to sell 100% of its stake within the state-owned national airline, which includes Air India’s 100% shareholding in AI Express Ltd and 50 percent in Air India SATS Airport Services Private Ltd.

• The Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank wins two national awards, APY Big Believers’ and ‘Leadership capital’. They made a significant amount of enrollments in Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA).

• MPC of the RBI maintained an accommodative stance and kept the repo rate unchanged at 4 percent The Monetary Policy Committee has also ensured that inflation remains within the target. The reverse repo rate was also kept as earlier at 3.35 percent.

• The ‘Indian Space Association’ (ISpA) will be launched by PM Modi on 11 October. Indian Space Association (ISpA) is that the principal industry association of space and satellite companies. ISpA speaks for leading native and global corporations that have innovative capabilities in space and satellite technologies.
