HC refuses to stay UPSC call for applications

Posted on June 14, 2023July 18, 2023 by Wufasu

The Delhi High Court has rejected a plea to halt the application process for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023, by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Justice Chandra Dhari Singh dismissed the application made by a group of civil services hopefuls who were requesting a stay on the submission of the Detailed Application Form-1, dated July 10, 2023.

The applicants had previously lodged a petition seeking access to the answer key for the preliminary examination conducted earlier this year. When the applicants’ lawyer argued that these exams were crucial for aspiring candidates, the judge responded by stating that they were indeed significant for talented individuals, not for those who were currently involved in filing writ petitions.
